Weld Testing

The Lockhart weld tester is designed to perform a localized hydrostatic test of a weld in any pipeline.
The function of the Weld Tester is to introduce pure hoop stress into the weld thereby testing the weld in the most extreme of stress conditions.
The Lockhart weld tester utilises an ultra high expansion seal giving the tester multischedule capabilities.
The standard Lockhart weld tester is available in 1/2" to 24" nominal pipe size with larger diameter units available on request and comes in Joint Weld Tester and Flange Weld Tester configurations.

Features & Benefits

The main competitor to weld testers is the full hydrostatic test and whilst there is a time and place for this, in most cases a much more cost effective option is to utilize weld testers.
